Our Yarn Selections Include:
Acadian Tweed Yarns
The knitters of North America's Acadian regions enjoy twisting together two different wool colors to create "marl" yarn. When knit up, the marl appearance is similar to ragg yarn. Of course, our Acadian Tweed yarn is 100% wool, not some unidentified man-made ragg fiber! You can find every Acadian Tweed color among our Fisherman yarn colors--try coordinating the two lines for some eye-catching results. Available in 2 ply, 4 oz skeins ($7.00 each).

Fisherman Bulky Yarns
This unique yarn is a true, unspun, bulky, similar to Icelandic, a bit thicker than the original Lopi. Our Fisherman Bulky provides soft warmth without too much heaviness. To mimic the fleece lined mitten, weave Fisherman Bulky into the palm and back of the mitten. In Lopi patterns, try 3 st of Bulky for every 4 st of Lopi to get the same gauge. All of our yarns are 100% wool, and our customers have great success using Fisherman Bulky yarn in felting projects, such as indoor booties, boiled mittens, shoulder bags, and even pill box hats! Note that four of the Bulky colors are free of dyes and chemicals: Natural, Light, Medium and Dark Sheeps Gray. Available in 4 oz skeins ($7.00 each).

Fisherman Yarns
The reputation of Bartlettyarns has been built on Fisherman Yarns, our specialty since the early 1800's. Carefully spun with select domestic fleece, Fisherman Yarns retain some of their natural lanolin for softness and weather resistance--ideal for sweaters, caps and mittens. Available in a wide range of colors, including four pure undyed colors: Natural, Light, Medium, and Dark Sheeps Gray. Put up in 4 oz. Full Measure® skeins (2 ply and 3 ply): $7.00 each . Also available in Sport weight (1 lb cones): $32.00 each.
Glen Tweed Yarns
The Glen Tweed yarns trace their color heritage to the warm textures and tones of authentic Scottish checks and tweeds. Every Glen Tweed shade is an imaginative blend of three or more colors. All of the Glen Tweed color "roots" can also be found in a complimentary yarn color in our Fisherman yarn line. Put up in 4 oz Full Measure(TM) skeins (2 ply and 3 ply): $7.00 each . Also available in Sport weight (1 lb cones): $32.00 each.

Solid Yarns
Our Solids are soft yarns spun with select wools. The colors are crafted either by spinning a single stock-dyed wool, or by over dyeing natural color skeins. Black is always in fashion; Cranberry is a traditional seasonal color; and Bright Orange is often used for protective caps, vests, and mittens for sports persons. Available in Sport (one-pound cone), or 2-ply and 3-ply skeins (4-ounces)
Rangeley Yarns
Richer, darker shades inspired by the lakes, forests, and mountains of Maine's popular Rangeley Lake region, these comfortable yarns are blended with natural "Baa Baa black sheep" dark wools in the "Mountain" colors. You can knit Rangeley Yarns and our famous Fisherman yarns together in the same garment without having to adjust the gauge. Available in 2 ply, 4 oz skeins ($7.00 each) and Sport weight (1lb cones: $32.00 each).
Shetland Yarns
We call this line "Shetland-style" because of the complex combination of colors blended into each of the eight striking shades. Created and spun exclusively in our historic mill, our "domestic" Shetlands reflect today's fashion shades with subtle color highlights that will surprise the most discriminating knitter and designer! Available in 2 ply, 4 oz skeins ($7.00 each) and Sport weight (1lb cones: $32.00 each).
